Another 4x4 for today
I love this crown stamp by Stampers Annoymous Tim Holtz Collection. It goes so well with the trends in collage art. I couldn't sleep last night, so I got up and played for awhile and came up with this 4x4.
Thursday Morning
If you ever lived on a farm or near one, you could always hear that rooster crowing first thing in the morning. Being in the city I really miss that early morning farm sounds. Birds do get up early. These nice spring mornings I can hear the birds around 4:30am. Well, I could shoot them at that time.
I love this SU stamp set. This rooster stamp has so many uses. Here is another 4x4 square I cut from matboard. Glued down the newspaper with Gel Medium, sponged on the Distressed Inks and stamped the rooster with black.

4 x 4 Something to crow about!
My first 4"x4" card. I used mat board and cut it to size. I sponged with Tim Holtz Distressed inks in Antique Linen. I stamped the script with Vintage Photo Distressed ink and the rooster with black. The script and rooster stamps are by Stampin'Up and the corner stamp and flourish stamp are by Stampers Annonymous Tim Holtz Collection.
The rest of the day I painted 2 ornaments with my friend Loreen.

Yesterday's ATC challenge
Played around with some Tattered Angels' Glimmer Mist spray on the background. Coloured the fairy with Stampin'Up watercolour crayons. These crayons are so easy to use and you get a lovely watercolour affect.
Shrine I'm working on
Shrines or shadow boxes always intrigued me. I had this box that I had painted black years ago and did nothing with it. So I painted over the black with a blue, then I crackled it. For the inside. I peeled some of the paper off some corrigated cardboard and painted it blue. I glue on the elements and glued it to the back. Not sure if I'm finished or not.
May is almost gone
I have spent the morning looking at all my favourite blogs. I really enjoy all the altered art and collage blogs. I am so impressed and inspired by Laura's blog and her art dolls on Creative Whisper. She is such a sweetheart. I have many favourite blogs that inspire me. I thought I would just drop in and let you know what I have been doing besides blogging. I'm working on a shrine or shadow box. It is something different for me. It is not finished yet and I think I will take a photo of it as it is and then when it is finished. Back to work.

More from the book. Being accordian fold the pages are decorated on both sides, plus there is pockets with tags inside, so you really don't get the total view. I hope you like it. It was fun to make. There is no real theme, just putting together things I thought would go together or what moved me to put in the book at the time.
Envelope Accordian Book
I was sent bits and pieces on the Canadian Scrapbook Talk group for their Mystery Envelope Swap so I created this book. We were to make whatever we wanted with the contents. I always wanted to make an accordian envelope book. So with my own add ons and Ingrid's things she sent, I created this book. It was fun to do.
My Diaper Cake
My dear friend Jodi just had her first baby girl. Sadie is having her coming out party on Saturday and I found this cute cake on Michelle's blog. I thought it would be cute for Sadie's party.
Lots of diapers, lots of rolling but I think it is worth it.

Time is flying by
Days go by and I feel I haven't accomplished a thing. I'm working a a diaper cake that I found in Michelle's blog. I'm also working a paper bag book. The theme is My Town. This has been so much fun. Not finished yet, but I will post it when I'm done. I would like to concentrate on more vintage collages. They really appeal to me. My good friend Laura is such a great inspiration. Her art dolls and gothic arches are just wonderful. See you soon.

My newest painting
Well it's been awhile since I've really painted. Here is one I painted today. The design is by Shirley Koenig. I had to do alot of my own thing because she is very hard to follow and her colours are alot of mixes that don't even come close to the picture in the book. I think it turned out pretty good.

Today's creations
The ATC has elements from ArtChix collage sheets. She is called "Rosie".
The cards are made from bits and pieces that was sitting on my desk. I thought I would use them up. The background stamp is from Inkadinkado. The geranium stamp is from PSX. Misc. papers and SU cardstock.
Monday and another sunny day
Woke up to a lovely sunny day again. It's not too hot yet. I have been hating springs lately because they seem to go from freezing to hot without spring like weather inbetween. You go from furnace to air conditioning in one day.
I didn't do any artwork this weekend and I'm struggling today trying to paint a new piece. I've been spending my time reading a series by Wanda, can't remember her last name. She writes great Amish Series. This series I just finished is the Sisters of Holmes County. I enjoyed it very much. Now on to something else and then come back to her next series. I'm also reading a book called "100 Ways to Simplify Your Life" by Joyce Meyer. This book says it like it is. She doesn't milk it down for you...she makes you think about where you are going in this life and how you can achieve it without guilt. If anyone is stressed with burdens, with work, with family and just bogged down with life should read this book. I'm taking her words to heart. If I get any art done today I will post it later, if not...then tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow is a brand new day with no mistakes in it.

Today is Saturday
I've been out of touch for a few weeks. I have been creating, and playing with my painting and making cards etc. The hardest thing for me is to find time to blog. It seems in my spare time I'm either reading or dreaming. Keeping my yahoogroup going takes time too. I like to answer most posts and come up with ways to keep everyone posting and playing. I will load some of the cards I made this week.
